Testosterone Injections in Male Transferred to Female through Sex?

My boyfriend takes testosterone injections for testosterone replacement and I have developed increase weight and muscle mass. Is this a result from the injections passing through sex?

Hi Sondra,

No, testosterone can not be transferred through semen or any other method of contact when administered by injection. There is zero chance of transfer.

However if your boyfriend were taking a testosterone gel or cream applied to his skin, there is a chance of transfer due to the skin on skin contact. But since this is isn't the case I wouldn't worry about it.

If you're not having any side effects such as increased acne and body hair growth then you should be ok. Those are the first side effects you may get from increased testosterone.
