Steroid Acne Cures

Steroid acne can be a bothersome side effect of high testosterone levels, stress, puberty, or other steroid use. It can lower your self-esteem and prevent you from having a normal social life.

There are Two Main Acne Causes

1. Increased androgens from high testosterone and other anabolic steroids.

2. Increased cortisol.

Androgen related acne generally appears on your back, shoulders and chest while cortisol acne generally appears on your face.

Androgen Acne Treatment

There are two things you can do to reduce androgen acne.

- Reduce total androgens (less testosterone or other steroids)
- Switch to milder androgens that don't cause these side effects.

By reducing DHT (dihydrotestosterone), the androgenic metabolite of testosterone, you can minimize or completely get rid of your steroid acne. The drug Finasteride (Propecia/Proscar) and Duasteride (Avodart) reduce the conversion of testosterone to DHT allowing you to have clearer skin.

Another way to reduce your acne is to block DHT at it's source. A topical shampoo called Nizoral (Ketoconazole) can be applied to your back, shoulders, and chest (for a few minutes during your daily shower) to stop the sebum and oil causing effects of DHT.

Acne from anabolic steroids can be minimized by using less androgenic and more anabolic compounds like Deca (Nandrolone), Equipoise, Turinabol, Anavar, and Primobolan.

The more androgenic steroids like Trenbolone, Winstrol, Masteron, Dianabol, and testosterone will increase oil and sebum production especially if you are presdisposed to it.

Cortisol Acne Treatment

When you have high cortisol levels one of the main effects is increased facial acne. You may have realized when you're "stressed" like before a major exam, business proposal, or large event like a wedding, pimples may spontaneously erupt on your face.

You can try many of the destressing techniques like relaxation, medication, yoga, etc... which can definitely help.

Removing allergens from your food may also help. The main allergic offenders are; dairy, nuts, soy, eggs, shellfish, and wheat. Because your body may be allergic to these foods your body produces it's most potent antihistamine cortisol. More cortisol leads to increased acne.

If you suspect being allergic to any of these foods try cutting them out for a few weeks and see if your face clears up.

Anti-Cortisol Supplements

- Phosphatidylserine
- Relora
- 7-Beta-hydroxy-DHEA

These are the most potent cortisol lowering supplements. As a nice side effect you may also notice increased mood, less anxiety, and better overall health.

Your joints may get sore if you lower cortisol too much so make sure you don't get overzeolous.

General Steroid Acne Supplements

The most effective supplements for lowering overall oil and sebum production are high dose;

- Vitamin B5 aka pantothenic acid (1 to 10 grams per day)
- Vitamin A (10,000 to 100,000 IU per day)

I've been on the harsh acne drug Accutane (Isotretinoin) twice and have noticed better overall treatment from these two vitamins. All I got from Accutane was temporary relief from my acne and depression and chronic fatigue. I'd stay away from it if you can. It's a nasty drug.

I don't sell any of these products. A simple google search or a trip to your local health food store should serve you well. Good luck. :)
