Prostate Diagram
The prostate gland is the center of the urinary tract and connects to your urethra, bladder, and seminal vesicles.
They all originate from your prostate gland.
If your prostate becomes enlarged aka Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), prostatitis, or prostate cancer, problems may arise in getting the proper fluids in and out of your prostate gland. Prostate cancer is also more likely to spread to these surrounding areas during it's later stages. A closer view of the ducts surrounding the prostate can be seen in the diagram to your left.
You can see the tubes going through the prostate. Any inflammation or growths will impair your prostate's function.
