Prostate Cancer Warning Signs
In prostate cancer's early stages, the likelihood of you experiencing prostate cancer warning signs will be low. However, do not let this get you worried. Odds are, you may have one of the following harmless conditions. Irregular Prostate Conditions1. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) aka enlarged prostate. Odds are 50-80% after age 50. 2. Prostatitis (an infection of the prostate). Odds are 6-8%. 3. Urinary tract infection. Odds are 12%. However, the older you get, the greater your chances of developing prostate cancer. The good news is... if you are under 40 it is virtually unheard of. Afterwards, your odds of contracting prostate cancer are only 17%. As you can see, chances are you most likely have something else, especially BPH. BPH is virtually harmless and can be treated with the anti-estrogen medications Arimidex (Anastrozole) and Aromasin (Exemestane). If you have BPH, current research shows there is no correlation with prostate cancer. Just because you have one, does not mean you will get the other! Between 60-70% of men aged 80 or over will not experience any symptoms of prostate cancer. Once they appear, they most often seem very similar to the
symptoms of enlarged prostate.
If there are any warning signs of prostate cancer, a biopsy of your prostate tissue will be taken, to make a confirmation of whether there is cancer or not.
