Need Testosterone Replacement Help
by Steve Barker
I am a 41 year old white male and I live in the UK.
I have felt generally unwell for many years but more so over the last two. Things have gotten worse during this time.
My sex drive is zero, no energy, lack of concentration, memory problems, weight gain, and loss of strength.
Feeling the onset of my age I thought I would start weight training again after 10 years. I train 3 times a week and do 40 mins of cardio a day, but i cannot lose any weight!
After doing some research on the internet and realising my symptoms appeared to be low test related, I did approach my doctor and did have blood tests done.
However he dismissed the results, saying my test levels were within range, and suggested I was depressed and offered antidepressants instead!
I thought of trying something like testrogain to see if that helps but I think I will have to accept that the only course of action will be self admin TRT.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Also is there any alternative to Arimidex as it is very expensive?.
Thanks
Hi Steve,
I would suggest getting some second opinions before going out on your own, although that is an option as well.
As well, it's important to make sure you have a need for testosterone replacement, and your problems and not from some other factor (i.e. adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism, high prolactin, etc...) Depression, fatigue, and sexual dysfunction can be caused by a number of disease processes.
If your testosterone blood levels are on the lower half of normal then testosterone replacement may have a good chance of succeeding.
Having a doctor oversee your care has a lot of benefits (blood work, management of side effects, other possible factors effecting your mood and energy).
I feel your pain however and sometimes you have to do what you have to do.
Arimidex is quite expensive, however they can be had cheaply through research chemical supply companies for about a 10th of the price.
Two that I've used are:

I hope that helps.
