Male Birth Control for Reproductive Choice

Using effective forms of male birth control can save you a lot of future headaches.

Do you know why women hold all the cards to reproductive success?

They are the gatekeepers for sex and reproduction.

Or more appropriately "They have your balls in a vice and aren't letting go."

In the 60's "the pill" was released and revolutionized women's rights.

They were no longer bound to being "just a wife and mother."

Their options grew, and their goals and priorities shifted with it.

Male Birth Control Pill

The male birth control pill could have similar impacts on men's rights today.

"Reverse discrimination" is now common place, as women are having their cake and eating it too.

You can have one passionate night or steamy love affair, and you're paying child support for the next 18 years. According to U.S. Census Bureau Reports, the average child support payment is $350 per kid.

You're paying $75,000 over 18 years! And that's on a salary of around $35,000 per year. Think 10% of your wages per child. It adds up quickly.

Hey, I'm all for taking care of your children and being a responsible father. Just protect yourself and prevent any unwanted pregnancies!

Using birth control for men can protect yourself and your rights... because condoms sometimes break and reduce sensation, and hell, it's nice to have options!

Birth Control for Men Options

1. Vasectomy (Sterilization by clipping your tubes), 0.15% failure.
2. Spermacides (Kills your sperm), 21% failure.
3. Rhythm Method (Not having sex when she's fertile), 20% failure.
4. The Withdrawal Method (Pulling out), 18% failure.
5. Condoms, 12% failure.
6. Chance (Not doing anything), 85% failure.

Not exactly encouraging figures by themselves... but combining a condom, the rhythm method, pulling out, and spermacide, can greatly decrease your chances of "slipping the puck, past the goalie."

Vasectomy Testosterone Complications

Even though vasectomies are highly effective (0.15% failure rate), there are possible health consequences related to the procedure. After getting a vascectomy, testosterone levels can lower in a minority of people due to autoimmune complications.

It's best you arm yourself with the knowledge ahead of time if you are considering or have already completed a vasectomy.

Reversing Vasectomy

If you are thinking about getting a reversing vasectomy procedure completed, being armed with the statistics and cost involved are good things to be aware of. The longer you wait to reverse your vasectomy the lesser of a chance fertility can be restored.
