A Thing About Steroid Cycling

You’ll find as you learn more about anabolic steroids many veterans in the game don’t actually cycle on and off. It’s a detriment to their goals and many are willing to accept the “health risks” associated with long term use.

Pros and Cons of Steroid Cycling

- Your joints and tendons get a break from the extra stress caused by pushing your body harder.

Cons

- Fluctuations of hormone levels (testosterone, estrogen, and cortisol) from cycling on and off can have inherent risks on health themselves.

- Depression following a cycle and/or decreased well-being.

- Decreased athletic performance and aesthetics.

- It takes longer to reach your goals.

- Temporary sterility or reduced fertility (could be pro or con) :)

Cruising and Bridging

Many men get around cycling by going on low dose steroids between anabolic steroid cycles aka cruising. 200mg per week of testosterone enanthate/cypionate, which is a little over a replacement dose is a typical dosage.

anabolic steroid cycles 3 This keeps your system normalized while remaining in a slightly higher than normal anabolic state. Side effects are lessened and gains and mood are maintained.

Bridging on the other hand involves using “less suppressive” steroids mostly DHT derived at low dosages like Masteron, Primobolon, and Proviron (non-anabolic) ranging from 100-400mg per week.

Another strategy is to use very short half-life steroids like Dianabol (4 hours). Typical dosages are 10mg taken upon wakening.

The problem with bridging is you’re still preventing recovery from your cycle, while only moderately holding on to your gains. Basically getting the worst of both worlds… you’re not recovering and you’re not really holding on to much muscle either.

It’s not recommended.

Testosterone the Backbone of Anabolic Steroid Cycles

Testosterone keeps mood up, your dick working, and allows for the necessary amount of estrogen to keep joints healthy.

HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) can be used as a replacement for endogenous testosterone if you wish, since it encourages your own testosterone and estrogen production. 250IU every other day should be sufficient.

Stick to One Steroid for Beginners

It’s good to start with one compound to gauge how your body reacts to it. There are just too many variables to iron out when using multiple anabolic steroids at the same time. You don’t want to play the guessing game of what’s causing what.

- How much estrogen suppression will you need?
- What side effects are coming from what steroid?
- What does your body like best and thrive on?

If you “stack” 2 or more steroids on your first cycle, you won’t know what’s going on.

Typical Beginner Anabolic Steroid Cycles

Ok… what you’ve been waiting for…

500mg testosterone enanthate/cypionate per week.

…for however long it takes you to achieve your short term goals.

Traditional “bro-knowledge” states arbitrarily, 10-12 weeks is a good range for the time spent on cycle.

If you are 175lbs and want to get to 225lbs, you won’t get there in 10-12 weeks sadly to say. You may get up to 200lbs on cycle, lose 5 when immediately going off, and plateau at 190lbs if you keep your training and nutrition up.

It’s a 2 steps forward, 1 step backward approach. Only you can decide what’s best for you.

If you want 225lbs right away it may take 10-12 months to get there, going 500mg per week non-stop. You can better maximize your goals in a shorter period of time this way.

When you do eventually decide to stop you will eventually lose some of those 225lbs… so either a cruise will be in order or you will have to accept a smaller you. Unfortunately that’s part of the game and it’s something you have to get used to if you decide to cycle.

When you ultimately decide to go off cycle a well thought out PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) will need to be planned to allow for a natural progression back to your normal testosterone levels.

Intermediate Anabolic Steroid Cycles and Beyond

Once you’ve got a taste how 500mg per week of testosterone feels like and you’ve got your estrogen nailed down by proper use of AI’s (Arimidex, Aromasin, Letrozole) if your goals warrant it, you can either stack with another steroid or increase the dosage.

anabolic steroid cycles 13 The whole reason why other steroids were invented were to both decrease the side effects of testosterone and draw strengths from some of its better qualities.

Do you want to get stronger? Add some Trenbolone (Finaplix).

Do you want joint relief? Add some Deca (Nandrolone).

A greater mood with modest strength gains? Add some Dianabol (Methandrostenolone).

Better motivation and sexual function? Add some Masteron (Dromostanolone).

Some steroids are better than others for increasing certain qualities (strength, mass, leanness, speed, joint relief, mood, sexual perfomance). Taking a look at the top steroids can give you a better idea of what suits your needs best.

That’s why I don’t like “gurus” posting generic beginner, intermediate, and advanced anabolic steroid cycles for mass and cutting goals.

If you check out many of the steroid forums on the net you’ll find for every guy vouching for a particular steroid someone else will say it “sucks” or that it did nothing for them.

Some people love Anadrol and Tren while others hate them. Some people get bad “Deca dick” while on the Nandrolones while others love it for the fantastic joint relief it provides.

Regardless of what I’ve just said, I’m going to post what I think are some good anabolic steroid cycles since I’m sure that’s what the majority of readers want anyways. :)

I’m a big fan of the KISS principle, as in Keep It Simple Stupid. Why add 4+ different compounds when you can take the best steroid for that specific quality and just increase it instead.

Adjust dosages as necessary to meet your goals.

Great Mass/Size Anabolic Steroid Cycles

- 200 mg – 1000 mg Testosterone enanthate/cypionate per week (For increased mass). anabolic steroid cycles 14

- 200 mg – 700 mg Nandrolone (Deca Durabolin) per week (For increased nitrogen retention and mass).

- 140 mg – 490 mg Dianabol (Methandrostenolone) per week (For increased mass).

(Pick either Dianabol or Anadrol)

- 175 mg – 700 mg Anadrol (Oxymetholone) per week (For increased mass).

Great Cutter Anabolic Steroid Cycles

- 100 mg Testosterone propionate/enanthate/cypionate per week (For mood, sexual function and limited bloat).

- 200 mg – 700 mg Trenbolone (Finaplix) acetate/enanthate per week (For maximum leanness and nutrient partitioning).

- 200 mg – 700 mg Masteron (Dromostanolone) propionate/enanthate per week. (To promote leanness, sexual function, and motivation through dieting)

Great Strength Anabolic Steroid Cycles

- 200 mg - 1000 mg Testosterone enanthate/cypionate per week (For increased bloat and mass).

- 200 mg – 700 mg Trenbolone (Finaplix) acetate/enantate per week (For maximum CNS (Central Nervous System) activity).

- 100 mg – 400 mg Nandrolone (Deca Durabolin) per week (For joint support).

Those cycles should serve you well for maximizing your goals and potential, while not being too complicated. If you’re just starting out and have already done the beginner cycle of 500 mg testosterone per week, then start at the lower ranges.
